Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-20
It Works on My Machine collects nothing. No account, no sign-in, no network requests, no ads, no analytics, no in-app purchases. Your save is a JSON file on your device, and it never leaves it.
The short version
There is no data to describe, because none is collected. The game runs entirely on your device and never makes a network request. This page exists because both app stores require a privacy policy even when the honest answer is "nothing", and because a claim like that should be written down somewhere you can hold us to.
Who we are
Adam App Studio publishes It Works on My Machine. You can reach us atsupport@adamappstudio.com.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from a third party. The fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font CDN, precisely so that visiting this page does not hand your IP address to anyone. There is no contact form, because a form needs a server to receive it. That is also why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Our web host will keep ordinary server logs, as every web server does. We do not analyse them and we do not build profiles from them.
What the app collects
Nothing. Specifically, the app does not collect or transmit:
- Personal information of any kind. No name, no email address, no account.
- Device or advertising identifiers.
- Your IP address, because the app makes no requests in which to send it.
- Crash reports or diagnostics. There is no crash-reporting SDK.
- Usage or gameplay analytics. There is no analytics SDK.
- Location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data.
What is stored on your device
Your progress is saved to a single JSON file in the app's own storage, together with a randomly generated identifier that exists only so a save can recognise itself. It is never transmitted. The game also keeps a small in-memory counter of recent events to draw its own debug overlay in development builds, and it is discarded when the app closes and is not present in the released build.
Deleting the app deletes the save. We cannot read it, restore it, or recover it for you. If you have your device's system backup enabled, your operating system may include the app's files in that backup under Apple's or Google's terms, and that is between you and them, and the data still never reaches us.
Permissions
The app requests no special permissions. It declares no camera, microphone or photo library usage, because it uses none of them.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party SDKs, no advertising networks and no payment processing. The only third parties involved are the stores you downloaded it from:Apple andGoogle collect their own download and purchase information under their own policies, and we receive only aggregate sales figures from them.
Store disclosures
Apple App Store
The App Privacy label reads Data Not Collected. This page is the privacy policy linked from that listing. The app's privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data types. It declares only that it reads file timestamps, system uptime and free disk space, which it needs to save your game, to work out offline earnings honestly, and to fail gracefully when a device is full.
Google Play
The Data safety section reads no data collected and no data shared.
Children
The game is rated 4+ on the App Store and 3+ under IARC (PEGI 3, ESRB Everyone). It contains nothing unsuitable for children and collects no data from anyone, so there is no children's data for us to handle differently. It is a general-audience game rather than one directed at children specifically.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA and comparable laws you have rights to access, correct, delete, port and object to the processing of your personal data. We hold none, so there is nothing to give you, correct or erase. We have never sold or shared personal information, and there is no legal basis to name because there is no processing.
If you believe otherwise, write to support@adamappstudio.comand we will answer.
Changes
If the game ever starts collecting anything, this page changes first and the change is called out in the release notes. The date at the top is the last revision.
